i doubt it. im not sure what to do with that it looks bad now. i was just getting ready to look for some rub rail online. i will be on the ohio with this if leave it on it will get real nasty. so im not sure what to do. my friends think i should keep it on also. im not convinced yet.

Did it come with the rope rub rail? Kinda cool looking
I didn't even notice that Jim! That is SWEET:thumb: I'd leave it. If it gets nasty, bleach it each season. What part of the ohio river? I know I am around OH/KY/IN and its not that nasty....well it is now with all the damn rain :brickwall:

That boat is CUSTOM. A truck hood bug deflector and a stack of 2x4s supporting the deck and a house flag pole holder :eyecrazy:. Looks like you have a handful there. Take your time and it will be a fun project. Has the potental to be cool again.

i live in evansville spend the whole summer out there. ussually stay around here but this year im thinking about going to ky lake a little. prob actually berkley ky lake get too choppy. im hoping to have this thing in the water by memorial day. i was very lucky the boat sat in a field for the past 4 yrs. with no transom damage just the floor and seats.
this weekend i will see about the motor if its not ok i have a old 100hp tower to put on it also.

i live in evansville. i just stay around here gets pretty exciting in the summer if the amry cor of engineers dredge the river there is a huge island downtown. i might go to ky lake or berkley this yr prob berkley ky gets real choppy. u r from the cinni area right?

there is also three fuel tanks on the boat 1 12 gallon in the back and two in the front a 10 gallon and another 12 gallon. the boat was ran on the wabash river there is no place to get fuel on the river so that is why i believe there is the additional tanks. i believe it will be nice i wont have to pay the extra dollar a gallon at the marina as long as it doesnt way it down too much.

nice project

Looks like you have your hands full, I'm in the middle of one also, but just ahead of you. In the Cincy area also. YellowFiero is a wealth of knowledge and a great guy. If you have any questions this board is the place to go. Good luck with it!

i am glassing the new boxes for the front seats today and had an idea. instead of glassing the top to the base could i just glass the top and put a hinge on it to make a dry box for wallets cells an such. it would fold towards the center of the boat with the seat attached would that be a good idea or not? u kinda see where the seat boxes will be in the last picture i posted.

Not sure how easy it would be to get to. You might leave the box open in the front and attach an aluminum door to it for access.

Good luck on the project. It is quite a rewarding feeling when it's completed.

yellowfiero i have a question i hope u can answer. i believe my motor is in need of a rebuild. i have found a 115 power head the serial number says its a 1974 model and my serial number is a 1977. will my 150 lower match up to the 1974 power head? i believe that the 115 is complete from the drive up just has no lower. i havent seen it yet just spoke to the marine shop owner. he is not sure but thinks it will. i thought u would know. thanks for any info u might have.
