1977 checkmate inmate 1 help with windshield

thumper1927

New member
I have a 1977 checkmate inmate 1. When I got the boat it has no windshield, but does have the holes where the windshield went. Does anybody have any idea on where i could get a windshield or how to make one. Or if a windshield form another checkmate would fit or what. Thanks Jason.

Good luck with your search. It will not be a easy search and to buy a new one would never be worth it. I think you might be able to use a V-mate windshield. Mike (bigredinohio) is real close to you and he has a vmate. You might be able to look at his and determine if its the same shape topdeck tho he does not have a windshild. He did talk about making a windscreen for his tho and if he makes a patern, you might be able to talk him into building 2!

Thanks there is a checkmate predictor that is 16ft that looks like mine in Carey Ohio. I guess I will just have to go look at it and see. If I can use another boat windshield then I will have too. If anybody else has any info then please let me know. I have until next spring to get it and put it on the boat.
