1980 enchanter 225hp question

Just picked up a 21 enchanter with 225 merc and 6 inch man. plate. I've had 1986 sportfire 140 johnson (58mph gps) and 1986 convincor 383 (62mph gps). what kind of mph should i get out of this combo? what is the difference between this hull and the sportfire? how much setback is necessary for this combo?

Be careful putting set-back on the older Enchanters! Their transoms aren't the strongest,
even when new, and set-back will strain them more. I had to beef mine up ('86) to accept
the 200 XRi with mods (4 pedal reeds, hi-comp. heads, etc.) but topped out at 77 mph!
28" chopper, LWP and raised 1 1/2" below pad. A very fun boat to run!

I will watch for that when I get the boat. the motor is a 1981 225elpto 5976430 merc. It looks like original. does anyone have one of these engines? and what should i look for as far as problems? are they pretty tough?
