1985 checkmate ambassador. prop size and speed

Well i just bought this boat and i love it. there is a couple things i"d like to know about it tho

1. i had a fast 5 prop on it and i could hit about 43 mph at about 4300rpm. i went and about at 19 pitch prop for it and now i only get about 3100rpm and 32 mph. this does not seem right for the boat. i figured it would actually go faster with the new prop on it.

thats odd a 19p prop should get that thing moving a 3 blade anyway. what diameter is the 19? and what pitch and diameter is the fast 5? but i would put fast 5 back on and see how it goes if it still goes good you got a crappy or bent 19p prop. if its still going crappy i would check for a popped off spark plug wire
