1985 Enticer

The boat interior was gutted to bare hull and then rebuilt. Then I ordered and installed a new interior from Checkmate. New carpet, new wiring (except for the horn), new gauges, new bilge pump, new battery, new control cables, new steering wheel, new stern light. The hull is in very good condition. There are typical scratches below the water line, no holes. I have lightly sanded and polished the metalflake above the rubrail. Needs polishing below the rubrail, but you wouldn't know it from 20 feet.
The motor runs but needs work or replaced. Even with work, I wouldn't trust the motor for more than a season or two. It starts and runs great on the hose, but under load it dies. I have rebuilt the carbs and the tilt/trim cylinders and replaced some wiring (mostly grounds). Installed a new impeller housing and impeller. I think I have all the gaskets for the motor, a new alt. belt, and other misc. parts/pieces. I was planning on digging in to the motor, but lost steam and then we decided to adopt...nuff said. The prop is SS and like new, 19P I think. The motor is mounted on a new 6" adjustable jack plate. Everything works.
The trailer is all brand new except of course for the frame. The wheels are used Ford Ranger alums. New axle/hubs, new tires, new spring bushings&suspenion hardware, new poly rollers, new bunks, new lights/wiring, new jack, new winch, new diamond plate, new hitch, new rustproof coating and paint. As far as I can tell, the trailer is from an old Ranger Bass boat, so the trailer is beefier than this boat requires. It pulls great and can go anywhere you want to pull it with no worries at all.
$2500.

Love your boat 007 but I have one just like it

That looks like a good deal. I paid the same thing for my Enticer and had to do all the work you have done after I got it. Good luck !!

If you were close to Michigan, it would aready be in my yard.......................

Well, after selling the boat twice and having both fall through, I still have it. I have a few people looking at it now but the problem is that the motor doesn't run very well. I guess when you buy a boat that's not a "project" boat you want to be able to buy and go. Anyway, if anyone is interested or knows anyone that might be interested let me know.
Thanks,
Mike
Wickedrister, I left you an email on another board about your 90 for sale.

Boat

I cant believe that still hasnt sold. I remember when it came on to Scream and Fly I seriously considered it but then ended up with a Hydrostream Viper for basically nothing. It's definatly a nice boat. Is that 150 on there a inline or V6 ? Just curious. I have a 1985 Merc 150 powerhead sitting in a garage not doing anything. I recieved it for delivering a boat and was told it ran very well and had good compression last it was on a motor but the power head was swapped for a 200.

Hey Zman1. It's an inline 6.
Yeah, most people don't want to mess with anything. They want to buy and slip it in. Don't blame them. Someone's going to get a nice boat and trailer though. Everyone that sees it comments on how good it looks. There's alot of Checkmate fans out there!
An old friend of mine REALLY wants the boat but is hesitating. His wife and daughter are working on him though so he may end up with it!
