great looking boat! I have never seen that color. Must have been a special order.

Are you willing to separate the boat/engine? At this price I am sure you will have to. ;)

That is a sweet boat! In the picture looking back out of the playpen, I see that you have speakers mounted in the gunnels on what looks like clear plastic mounts of some sort. I have been racking my brain and looking everywhere for something like this. Do you mind sharing what you have, how you did it, and some pictures?

I like the way that looks and I'll bet the lighting is sweet at night--nice custom work Hubb. How did you attach it inside the gunnel? And is there any enclosure on the back of the speaker, or just open? Thanks again ~Michael~

OK guys, I was wondering how long it was going to take.
As you can see I don't have many hours in it. So as I was still tryin' to tame it the summer was coming to an end - fast.
All I had to go by was the speedo. the gauge maxes out at 80, but I have had the needle back around to the 0 pin.
25p 3 blade
no bow foam
10" jack plate (which doesn't matter unless you know where to set it)
Me and 2 witnesses in the boat
So, maybe 85mph to 90??

85-90 seems a bit optimistic...

Anything is possible, did you check your RPMs when making those high speed passes?

Using the upper end of your motor's RPM range (6000) and making the assumption that you don't have custom gears (1.75 are stock on that motor) or a modified rev limiter, your calculated speed on the prop calculator is 73.1.

My guess would be around 75mph if you are getting really good slip #'s (I used 10%).

Good luck.:bigthumb:

Hey Ross - If you could post some pix that would be great. I really really want to keep it, but I really need to sell it if I am going to be lookin fora bigger boat. We have alot of big water we like to travel. - It's kinda like all your friends having 4X4s and you have the awesome sports car, you get left on the street.

Wow I am amazed how well the transom held up and there are no stress cracks with that 300 on the back. Is that boat used only on a smooth lake?
