Howdy,
I hate to do it, but I am selling my '87 Eluder. I bought it from another member here in 2006 and have really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, I just don't have much time to enjoy it, or a good place to enjoy it where I am at right now, and the fact that we are about to have a baby is only going to decrease my fun time. It has been two years since I have run the thing thanks to numerous military moves. Thanks Uncle Sam.
It is an 18' blue and white bow rider, with a 200 hp Mercury Black Max 2-stroke turning a 3 blade Quicksilver SS prop. It has a ski pole, boarding ladder (missing bottom step!), custom cover, removable center windshield, anchor w/rope, and white bow cover. The trailer is a single axle EasyTow. It has a stereo, but the amp died and was removed. The two marine speakers are still in it waiting for an amp. The speakers are mounted up front next to the anchor locker.
Anyways, a little history on the boat. It spent a good chunk of it's life in storage before the last owner got it. He did not have it too long before he sold it to me. It has been in a covered boat barn or a garage the whole time I have had it except it spent a little bit of time outside (though it was covered with its custom cover). The interior is in pretty good shape, and is all original except for 2 seat cushion boards I replaced. The gel coat looks pretty darn good, but it has a few nicks and scratches. The bow has a little oxidation, but nothing that can't be buffed out. The floors and transom are solid. The motor has not given me many problems. It has not been run in two years, so I make no promises on how it runs now! Before my move insanity, I had a new water pump and head gasket installed. The mechanic said the compression was good. I changed the dear lube every season and never found any water in it.
I have GPS'd it at 65 MPH and it will pull a skier with no issues. I used to have fun pissing off my buddy who had a big block jet boat by leaving him in the dust.
I am in Valdosta, GA which is just north of the Florida border. I would prefer to keep the deal fairly local. Like I said it has not been run in two years so I make no guarantee on how it runs. I also can't afford the time right now to mess with it so it is sold as is! Just got back from Afgh. and the baby is on the way so time is a premium item! I did clean it up today and took some pics.
Paid $6500, asking $5500 obo. I wanted to list it here first to let someone who could really appreciate it get a chance at it before I listed it publicly! Thanks for looking!
