I'm interested in a 1987 eluder w/ 95 2.5 efi merc OB. Fresh water boat with trailer that looks in nice shape for $8000. Does this sound like a good price?

Check out NADA.com and get some ideas but I'd say thats top Dollar for something like that. Its got a nice engine which is a plus, have it checked out. They're expensive to rebuild. Also examine the transom for stress cracks.I'll bet it FLYS!

I'd agree with Eric, that price seems on the top end. Check the NADA Guides. I recently got an '89 Eluder w/ '89 175 hp Mariner SKI. The engine has a few upgrades, such as a Bob's Machine shop low water intake, dry stacked exhaust and a jack plate. The engine checked out good by a local shop. I got the entire rig with Aluminum trailer for $5K. Of course, prices vary by market and a wide variety of other influences. Good Luck
