Checkmate Starflite restored this year. Hull was compounded and waxed thoroughly. It's not perfect but good condition for its age. All gauges were replaced, speedo, tach, fuel on main and reserve, temp, depthsounder, new compass. new trim tabs, lights, engine foil. new ladder for swim platform. working bilge pump, two batteries, main tank 30gal, new reserve tank 18gals.
Blown 1999 225hp 2.5 Mercury Race Outboard rebuilt in 2003. was running fine but crankshaft went, had just replaced flywheel, stator, coils, switch box, plug wires, compression even 115 on all cylinders. Power trim not working.
Seats were replaced 4 years ago.
Asking $1500. This hard-to find Checkmate is a great performance boat, especially with the trim tabs. It's easily towed at 2000lbs including motor. Comes with bunk trailer and new lights.
