Like it says, a strong running Yamaha 225. Pics and numbers forth coming. I have no idea how many hours are on the engine, but the compression checked good when I had it in the shop last month when they rigged the jack plate for me and they wrote the compression number on the cylinder...so, I'll post pics of it. Price includes, motor, oil tank, controls, and steering.

Will coordinate shipping at buyers expense.

...not the boat, just the motor. No idea what it's worth...posted this on scream and fly to. Make and offer...I don't have enough gas cans to get through a weekend of tubing with my kids with this thing, but it'll rip.

LOL At first I thought this was a Enduro Motorcycle for sale!!!! Shows how much I know about outboards!!!
 
Hi, I know very little about yamaha's but I'm considering repowering my exciter Is this a 2.6l? And do you know the weight of the engine?
 
Great looking motor at a great price.

A buddy just got the same money for a 10 yr older 150/ w/controls and I think gauges.

Not sure if you sold it yet or not but should be a no brainer.


Personally, I think the cosmetics of that era/model is one of the sharpest out there.

I came very close to putting a new pair of those on my old 24' Sonic and the looks was the top of the reasons why.

This is a 2.6L...I almost positive...but then again, I thought I had an 89...:o

I think the weight is around 400 lbs.
