Thanks for the kind words Gary. How is the sonic sale going? Its that time of year when the phone will start ringing with lookers and buyers.(Hopefully more buyers than lookers)I will be sad to see this boat go really, but it doesnt fit the needs of my family with four boys who want to ski, tube and wakeboard all in the same day.I am leaning towards a 21 cat of some sort but havent ruled out a Pulsair, just wanted something a little different this time around and thought maybe a 21 Liberator ar Skater would be nice.

fnshrmaster...
Forget the 21 "cat" if your troop wants to do the water-sports thing!
You need on open bow or deck boat...

Thats why I'm doing this 26' Cat deck boat this time...
space for 16+ people, a head & sink on board, and usuable on both the small lakes as well as big water, plus respectable performance!
Now all I need is a "TWIN" for it's 225HO!!!

Jim,Why do you say a cat wont be good for my application?I have witnessed a STV on our lake towing tubes many times. Its a small one too, like 19 ft.I dont plan on buying the boat for tow duty,I just want it to tow from time to time when the Pulse isnt available.(I should have bought that 186 Pulse for myself)How do those cats do in the rough?

Kurt... The cats plane easy for towing watertoys but really crappy wake. Knowing you have 4 kids also, I'm betting wakeboarding is going to be favorite. The cats have a crappy weird flat multi-wake... Plus lake of seating unless you know of a 21' cat with an open bow???? As far as handling the water... a 21 Skater handles chop great (under 2'), but they can "stuff" into bigger waves (see beer30's skater photos on S&F)...YIKES!!! As far as an STV... under 1' chop and NO big water... too light of lay-up and it's not a cat but a tunnel type hull.

You would be way better off with a 2100BR pulsare for your gang... or a 2400BR would be absolutely ideal!!! Jim

Thanks Jim.I think we will start a search for a 2100 Bowrider, but its gonna have to be either without a motor or with a 300X,Im done with anything smaller than the 300X.Looks like the GTX will be gone this week, hope I dont regreat selling it like I do with the Starflight,I should have kept that rig!

I hear you...

That 300 was the plan for the starflight!
I just needed a sawz-all and some upholstry for the bow & I would have still had it!

FYI... I think that 21 Starliner needing a powerhead (Evinrude 225) is going for cheap!
...under $4995 with trailer... think ETEC upgrade!!!

fnshrmaster, if you sold yours and want to consider buying my Starliner let me know, or if the deal fell through, maybe we can work a trade deal. My motor needs a new started and battery so might be willing to sell it without motor. I'm still looking for a old Convincor project so I may just pick up the family pontoon/deck boat this summer until I find a Convincor for next season.

Boat is being picked up tommorow. The phone calls are rolling in now,and this is one of two sites its advertised on,all calls came from this website. If it doesnt go tommorow I will let you guys know for sure, and give the next guy in line a chance. Thanks for a great site Chris,I guess maybe I should get another Checkmate, with this site they are sure easy to buy and sell!
