" For Sale" 1995 Persuader 219

Hack

Well-known member
1995 Persuader 219, 7.4L, Bravo 1. Looking to sell it before I need to get it winterized and wrapped for the season.

Boat runs good, sort of a biotch to start, but it sits for weeks before it get's used. Runs low to mid 60's with a 25" Mirage 3-blade. A bit slower with the 23" High-Five. Dual batteries, with switch, decent stereo.

Interior was redone, I was told floor/stringers were also done. I purchased the boat from a dealer that had taken it on trade, and thought they'd use it as a 'shop boat' for the guys that work there. It didn't get used enough to warrant keeping it. The hull has under 600 hours on it, the engine was replaced in 1996 due to a faulty winterization/storage issue. So it's got a bit less on it.

C-Hawk trailer in very good condition. Tire/wheels are only a couple years old. Surge brakes on rear axle. No issues with this trailer at all. The shop put a lot of time/money into it.

The original graphics have been painted over (it was a 'pink' boat...), and the top/deck has been clear coated. It's not a very good job, and is peeling in numerous spots. Needs a lot more TLC than this old man is willing to do. But it's water tight,

I've owned it since fall 2015, and have probably put a whopping 10 hours on it in two years. Boat is just too 'big' for the lake (and chain of lakes) that I'm on. Looking to move to either a center console outboard, smaller bowrider (outboard) or jet boat.

More pics available. Fall pricing is $6700, but everything is negotiable.

Thanks guys! Those are the pics taken at the dealer before I got it, but the boat hasn't changed much, other than the paint on the lower part of the skeg being sanded off. Cosmetics aside, it would make a great boat for anyone that lives/boats on a larger/deeper lake than I do. Or trailers to bigger lakes or rivers. There are too many shallow sections on my lake, and with the BBC and Bravo 1, it needs a lot more than 2' of water when it's not up on plane. I'm only listing it here, and if I don't get any bites in the next couple of weeks, it's heading off for winterization/wrapping.

I'm going up to my lake house Sunday to get it all washed and clean the interior up, as it sits on my covered boat lift all summer and collects an amazing amount of dust.

Curious, does that boat fit under the bridge by the state ramp? Or do you have to go through that narrow canal to get to Baseline Lake?
On a side note, my father in law helped clear the land for the marine just down the street. Cool lake you boat on.

Never took it over to Baseline, but it will fit under the bridge. My pontoon sits higher in the water and fits under the bridges (there's also a bridge/canal that goes to Little Portage Lake). As long as the Bimini isn't up, and everyone is sitting down.... Some wakeboard boats will make it under the bridges, but they have to have the collapsible tower.

The Huron River has some shallow spots, but as long as you stay clear of them, it's fine. But it's all 'no wake', so running at slow speed with the outdrive tilted up is a wandering left/right journey. When you get a bit further up river approaching Zukie lake, there's a place 'the locals' referred to as Shear Pin Point, where it is very shallow, and it's a bit of a nail biter, navigating it. Most pontoons can make it, unless they are severely loaded, along with smaller outboards/jets. And maybe a jet boat with a big motor. No way would the Checkmate, or any other large boat with a big/heavy engine and outdrive make it through there. A few have tried, and they usually end up grounded or scraping the rugged sea wall one of the homeowners has.

Klave's Marina? That's been around for ages. I'm taking my pontoon there (again) for winterization/wrapping. I had them store it last year, but I've since bought a trailer for it, and it'll be in the driveway at the lake house for the winter.

Yes! I think his father/ family were long time friends. He has some cool stories about that area.
I really want to drop my Checkmate in there and boat the lakes. One of my buddies is right across the canal from you. Just closer to the lake outlet.

:welcome: You need to! IIRC, your buddy is across the 'canal' and a couple house closer to the lake.

There's a rumor floating around, that Klave's is going to get sold. The sole surviving son, is getting older (his brother died last year?), and it's getting time to get out of the business. They have a virtual gold mine on the chain of lakes.
