GReta looking boat, I need to get one of those someday. For now I'm stuck with the little brother.

Someday this beauty could be yours! Unless someone else beats you to it.... /infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif
I keep getting hit up to sell this rig. I also have a tandem axle trailer with surge brakes and 4 chrome wheels that's painted to match the boat colors. The package is really cool from several feet away parked in the grass.

This rig is entirely 100% original from the factory, plus a big stereo the first owner installed. This motor is completly untouched and stock. In fact, it has the original plastic reeds, and I'm assuming that I should change them this year so I'm going to order a new set soon. Even the prop is original. 7 years old, no changes other than plugs and fluids and a water pump. I don't know the reeds need changing, but If I'm in there to inspect them then I might as well change them.

Mine is all stock too. Mine is really, really quiet. Compared to my little Merc 60 on my old Grew runabout that is.

If anything, I'd send it out to JSRE some day and have him freshen it with a new set of rings and do his oil injection removal. My compression is still good though, it may be years before that happens. Now the 300X, That's what this boat REALLY neeeds! /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

JW, sweeeet boat! Where do you run it? What kind of speeds do ya get, and how does it handle in rough water?

second place is the first loser

The original owner set it up for skiing, and I haven't modified it yet. Best I've seen is 70 GPS, which is low end for a Pulsare with a 225.
It handles cruiser wakes and heavy chop (on a small lake) GREAT for a low-profile boat. Checkmate outdid themselves with the design of this hull compared to the Pulse and Persuader boats that I've owned. I corners tight at high speeds, it jumps wakes with a smooooth re-entry, it has very little bow-rise on take-off. I'm extremely pleased with it. I suppose that's why Mr. Combs told me this spring that the Pulse line is getting replace by smaller Pulsare's. He also said the Persuader hulls are being replaced by new smaller ZT hulls.
I really need a bow cover though, the wind coming into the interior at speed is intense. I've lost life jackets out the back, removable /infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gifseat cusions fly about, paper towels streaming out into the lake LOLOL

JW, I can't begin to tell you how many things we've lost out of ours. Towels, shirts, hats, lifejackets, cd's, you name it. Luckily, we are usually are able to get back before it sinks...sometimes before it hits the water! /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

WOW

I love your boat JW. Give the boat/motor/prop/top speed at Chris.Ellard9@sympatico.ca so I can post them at the Top Speed thread even though I know most of the info, I just want to be sure...

Checkmates may not be the fastest boats on the water, but they are the nicest looking!

JW, strange question--when you are at rest, how far out of the water is the bottom of your powerhead? If you have a hydaulic jack that distance may be hard to gauge. My promax is a shorty and I fear it may be too low on a pulsare. I can convert to 20" if absolutely needed.
