2001 225HP Optimax w/2010 reman powerhead and new lower unit.

Ran all season, runs great, exponentially better fuel economy than an EFI and drinks a 10th of the oil....

Had the hood and upper cowls repainted this season and put "Optimax Chrome" decals from Ebay on. Looks pretty good. Starboard side latch latches/unlatches hard, prob a minor adjustment I haven't really cared enough about to tinker with. I painted the lower with hi-temp silver, not perfect, good 5 footer.

$5K Shipping EXTRA. I shipped my last 225 EFI for ~$300 from South Dakota to New Mexico through UShip.

Pretty serious about moving this thing... call me impatient. Spring is coming, this motor runs great!
 
This would get me racing. I need a good motor by the end of June, I'll have to roll some more weekends over the next month or two.

Obviously I think this is a good deal @ $5K...

I have found a boat w/300xs combo that I'm working details on now, if that pans out I'd swap motors and re-sell that rig..

Or

That ZT280 has peaked my curiosity.. would put my whole rig for sale @ $18.5K

Or hey, maybe I"ll be running a 225 Opti for another year! Guess only time will tell.
 
Its a bit small for my starflite project, but I might come around on it. I like the Opit's...hours? compression? Last impeller change/service? got any details? (BTW, I like the new stickers from Ebay):thumb:
 
Have each cylinder written down somewhere.. was 97-100 in each hole. Fresh gear lube and impeller this fall... exact hours I'm unsure of, but around 100 on the new powerhead. Will be getting full readout when it gets a little nicer out.

However, pending my road trip next week this motor is only availble strapped to the back of a Bullet 20xd bass boat! Unless of course, I can sell both seperate.
