Must sell this showpiece due to buying bigger boat. This unique boat impresses with its appearance and performance everywhere it goes.

Boat and trailer MINT condition. Members that saw this boat at the Checkmate Regatta this year can vouch for its condition and attention to detail.
100 Hrs. on boat and motor. 540 cu. in. M4 Procharged and Intercooled Motor. No expense spared in set-up and rigging. Reliable pump gas set-up. Better fuel economy than stock power at 65 mph cruise speed.

Can't believe I'm selling, my wife and I just wanted something that handled sloppy water conditions on the big lakes a little better so we went to a bigger boat with twins.
 
Boatman, Was looking for another Checkmate, did not find any with the stock blue motors I wanted for power. Ended up with a 03 Fountain 35 Lightning with 575SCI motors. I lost a little speed from the ZT, but the ride sure is nice. The new boat is not exactly the "sleeper" that the ZT is either so some fun and wow factor is gone.
Somebody is going to really enjoy the ZT now that it is dialed in.

The wife loves it,And it is my favoritet too.( But u knew that ). My new game plan is enter/purchase my way into every game of chance I can until it is sold out from under me.

P.S. Whats with the name, I picture you in upstate New York owning a 2000 acre dairy farm with 500 cows. Am I even close !!

Convincing the wife is usually the hardest part of any new boat purchase, so come get it !!!
The name does have history. Yes I am a dairy farmer though not of the typical stereotype. We work 3200 Acres, milk 1600 cows, have 3200 head total on the farm.
Our first Checkmate was a white 251 we named Milk Check. This boat with the blower motor then became Blown Milk Check. Also the neighbors and employees figured I blew the whole milk check buying it so it had multiple interpretations.
You know the extent to which it is maintained from seeing at the factory. Ask Jon Roberts ( or his wife who I later found out does not like to go fast ) from C-Hawk trailers how hard the boat pulls to 90+.
The Ohio trip was just before I added the 1/2" drive spacer and 34 B1 prop to get the boat to 100 as it now shows on the GPS Tattle Tale.

Boat was purchased through Kunkels. Set-up and rigging has evolved over time to what is now optimized. Funny how professional opinion can vary so greatly on boat set-up. In the end you can not argue with results.

I was in that situation not so long ago.

Someone else reading this really wants the boat but thinks they can not justify the price. Start building one yourself and you will quickly understand the value offered here.

You just have to stop saying "I can't afford that" and start saying "How can I afford that?"

Most people want to be rich, but many don't want to pay the price.



Several years ago, I could have snapped this boat up. Right now, I couldn't do it. But in a few years, probably. It seems thats the way it works for me.
