2001 ZT 280 "Blown Milk Check"

Yes it is still for sale. Online listings have expired, will renew them closer to spring. I am located 45 minutes southwest of TOB.

Ask Chris at Sterndrive, he saw the boat, did my drive for me.
Then we ran in the Renegade run next day ( 2 yrs. ago ) tried to take it easy to break in new drive gears. Did have to go past a 388 Hustler at mid-upper 80's. That guy was not happy.

SOLD . Boat left today for its new home, went to a qualified owner who previously had other Checkmates.

Tough to watch it leave, worst part is did not even get to take that last ride for sea trial. Poor weather prevented that.:(

Kelly, Congradulations on selling your boat. That was an awsome Mate........one of the baddest built! Good luck-

I sent you a PM,

Was it somebody here and what state did it go to. I sure hope they take it easy for a bit with all that speed. 100+ is no joke cold beer and that does not mix at all.

Congrats :thumb:

Congrats on the sale! Somone got a great boat.

If my boat budget hadn't vanashed, I would have been over to look at that one... sounded like a great deal!

Don't think he is a member here. Going to Ohio. New owner has had 'Mates, I felt he could handle the boat since his last boat ran 140. He has a labbed 36 B1 from a previous boat to try and spin. I think he can put up quite a number with that as the boat should pull it.
I wish I did not feel so sad watching it drive away from me. I am sure I will see it somewhere someday again though.

hey kelly cant wait to see the boat i almost went with him for the ride to get it
he is a good buddy of mine i know we will get a hold of bblades before the week is out
to do some prop work on it
i will post any numbers on here for you we put on it

Great, Keep me updated on the progress and please be careful. Enjoy the boat but respect the limitations of the hull. Seems like the boat has found a good home. I really wanted to run it one last time and show the buyer how it performed.

I thought the boat would have been dialed in already running 100+ :sssh:

kelly saw the boat last nite went over it for a couple hours or so while they were washing it up from getting caught in the rain. he had a couple problems on way home his truck tire blew out but the boat is very clean and the engine is great looking with my procharger set looked as good, only thing i would try on it is some prop work let the wizard bblades do what he would want to a prop for it
but very sweet boat

I am very interested on what the end result is in this boat. I always believed the boat ran 100 plus. But after purchase it was stated that props needed to be tested. I feel that the props should have been on time if it was running 100 gps mph.

WHATS THE GPS TRUTH MBOGER LAST POST BUY YOU WAS 5-18-09

NO DISRESPECT FOR YOU BOAT KELLY BUT 100 MPH IS NOT EASY AND IS A HONOR.

I am interested too in how much prop work could IMPROVE the set-up.

The sickest part of that boat is it was DE-TUNED running that number.

I have not heard anything either and am curious.

Very curious what makes you feel qualified to question someone's integrity who you have never met ? :poke:

I agree that 100 mph is not 'easy', not nearly as easy as bashing people with a keyboard. Yeah............that does not seem so 'honorable' either.:shakehead:
