" For Sale" 2002 Convincor 270BR 496 MAG, $24,000 (Sold)

I am selling my 2002 270 BR with a 496 MAG, approximately 330 hours. Asking $24,000 dollars. No issues the boat has been serviced routinely and I have used it for two seasons without any problems at all. The reason for selling is I am purchasing a bigger boat to have the ability to sleep on. It has an an on board smart charger with two optimax batteries. The trailer is in good condition with four new tires replaced last summer, the surge brake master cylinder and coupler are new. I have a full cover and cockpit and bow cover as well. The boat is in storage, but I can probably get access look at it. Cosmetically it is in excellent shape, there are several small chips in the gel. It could use a good cleaning, do to some family issues last fall, I just had time to service and winterize it before putting it in storage. The boat has professionally been bottom painted almost exactly at the water line, so it is almost undetectable. At first I wished it had not, but I boat mostly on the Ohio River and leaving a boat in over a weekend will always dirty the hull, but all I had to do was clean around the water line. The interior vinyl is in excellent condition, needs nothing. The carpeting is OK, but in the next few years could be replaced, although it is snap in so you can leave it out, the floor is textured. I have a Bimini top that will go with the boat also. As for performance, it will run 62 MPH, with one, or in the mid fifties fairly loaded with people and gear. It is a very solid boat. Excellent on fuel, for what it is. I have a 24 pitch bravo 1 prop on it.

As for hours, I was guessing a total of around 330 hours;when I put it away, I had no intention of selling the boat. When I purchased the boat in 2015 it had 260 hours on it, as for hard wide open running, I would speculate very few hours running at higher RPM. I have never had to add any fluids between servicing, and the spark plugs were changed when I got the boat, and the oil was changed late last year.

Nice boat, what's next?

I should know where I'm headed stateside mid-april.... I've always wanted to try a 270BR.

Man, I'm glad this thing sold. My wife and I were having some thoughts about selling the 253 and picking it up. The temptation is now gone!!!
