The poker run is going to be on July 15th at Lyman Harbor. The run this year will consist of the bay and the lake, but all boat sizes are welcome. All those who attended the poker run last year will be receiving a registration packet in the mail. If you did not attend last year and are serious about attending this year, please e-mail your name and address to TracyMlls@cs.com. We would like to say "Thank You" to Checkmate Boats and Kunkel Marine for sponsoring the run again this year! We are continuing to look for additional sponsors, so if anyone would like to be a sponser please let us know at TracyMlls@cs.com or jnmrcln@aol.com. Additional details will be posted soon.

Sounds like a good time, however I do have one concern. Being from that area and familiar with the water conditions on the lake, what are you going to do with the smaller "river rocket" Checkmates that show up for the poker run? That lake can get pretty rough even on a nice day.

Sandusky, Oh. There are many area loging choices. Some very good travel info is related to Cedar Point Amusement Park. Look to related links and Lake Erie,OH.

We drove up from Texas last year with the Diplomat, following one of the hurricane's
the lake was very rough from our point of view, but we still had a great time. not going to be able to make it this year dangit.

this is only 3 hours away from me. my concern is that the water will be too rough.

also i would have to find a buddy willing to drop the cash.

An update on the poker run: One of the card stops will be at the Casino Bar on Kelley's Island. For those who wish to, there will be free time to visit the island. We would like all Checkmates, small and large, to attend. We have made the run to accommodate all size boats. All boats have the option to stay in the bay, take their boat to Kelley's Island, or ride with someone else. No matter what you choose, you will still receive your card for the poker hand. We have currently sent out approx. 50 packets to prospective participants. There is a reduction in the registration price if returned early. If you would like to attend, please e-mail your name and address to TracyMlls@cs.com and we will send you a packet. Checkmate Boats is planning on having another open house the Friday before the poker run. We are still looking for additional sponsors so if you, or anyone you know, would like to be a sponsor please e-mail us. If you have any questions about the poker run, please send us an e-mail.
