I agree with ONTHEHAMMER I know alot of checkmates would go if not during Coast guard-I had a GREAT time during 2nd Poker Run ? May have to flip the coin & go for the 4th annual. C-HAWK/checkmate guys do a GREAT job running this event-Keep it up!!!!!!

I secured August 2nd off, So I'll be there for the open house. But unfortunately I don't believe I'll be part of the pokerrun again.

Maybe we can organize an unofficial cookout and bonfire Friday afternoon/evening after the openhouse out at the beach area of Sandusky bay.I know some boats headed that way last year on Friday afternoon.

Open to any other Ideals :poke:

that sounds like a good idea merc, mine and two others I know of for sure
will be on the water running around the bay by mid afternoon that Friday!
Start the party on that beach and we will follow! We'll be looking out for the bonfire!:cheers

Bonfire/Cookout sounds like a good idea. We usually go to the sandbar and hang out for a while on Friday after the Factory meet.

I actully hit the beach on friday last yr,But I think I was a little earlier than everyone else. And I didn't stay long, just about 45 minutes before I headed over to P-I-B for fridaynite.(at 35/40 mph I might add not like the ride home on Sat afternoon, Ay guys).

My Ideal this yr is I might stay on the beach for Fridaynite. Hang around the bay on Saturday, catch up with everyone at the Casino for a drink on my way to P-I-B for saturdaynite.Theres always room at the 22' and under dock.

It all depends on 2 things, If the water stays nice and if the ole' lady wants to go or not :poke:

poker run info

I know on alot of other poker runs there is a size limit (25' and larger). Is it the same at the checkmate poker run. I ask because I bought my 18'6" pulse last year and would love to go to this years events. I was also curious on the cost to enter the run and if you need to sign up ahead of time or if it was a first come first serve type of deal?

Thinking I am actually going to the Checkmate run this year. I have been to Coast Gaurd for the last 20 years. I don't think anything will happen out of the ordinary there. However meeting with fellow Checkmate owners sounds like a lot of fun and PIB, definitely a good time.

Jeff, Still thinking about about the Poker Run out of Wyandotte the end of May.There's more info at
http://www.pokerruntour.com/
With the Red bull Air Races the same day the Coast Gaurd is closing the River to traffic. So they had to change the course keeping it Downriver. Your basically running down pass FERMI 2. The Atomic Power Plant in Monroe and back. Not as nice of ride as upriver into lake St.Clair and the Nautical Mile, but whats you going to do?

Glad to hear you might make the Checkmate Run, Kudos on PIB. I always find my way over on that weekend for at least a night and plan to this year too!;)

It's that time of year again. . .time to start signing up for the Checkmate Poker Run/Regatta. As Kip stated in an earlier post, the poker run/regatta will be held on August 2nd at Lyman Harbor in Sandusky. The run/regatta is open to all Checkmate owners, regardless of the size of your boat. Packets will be sent out soon, so if you are interested in receiving a packet please send an e-mail with your name and address to info@c-hawktrailers.com. Just a reminder. . .the Checkmate Customer Appreciation Day will be held on Friday, August 1st at the factory in Bucyrus. We hope to see everyone at the open house on Friday and at the run/regatta on Saturday!

There is going to be lots of things to see at the open house at Checkmate. Last year things were still getting started, but now things are really starting to kick off.

I'm going to see what all we can get away with this year.

The time is drawing closer. How about a roll call of everyine who is coming. I know I will be there for sure. Don't know about the Enforcer yet, but I am trying to get it ready. boatman
