2010 150HP Etec with remaining warrenty

This is the standard 150HP with the M-2 Gearcase.
20in shaft Transferable factory remaing 3 eyar warranty

I'm thinking of repowering with a few more HP's. That is the only reason I'm selling. Engine has been nothing short of awesome. nickle-quarter sized blemish on top of cowling.

Asking $6500.00 on original shipping crate. Can help with transportation or setting it on a transom.

Where are you located?

If you know where Cedar Rapids Iowa is I'm about 30 miles north of there.

Been to the Rockwell Collins factory for a school in Cedar Rapids, so I know about where you're located. You the original owner? How many hours on the computer? Controls come with the motor, or are you going to get a bigger ETEC?

No controls as I want to buy another Etec.
I bought the engine from a ski team and it was used on their chase boat.
At that time it had 106 hours on the cut sheet and just over 65% of that time was spent in the 400 to 800RPM range. I have the history report they sent me at that time. I'm guessing I've probably 20-25 hours on it since.
It would have warrenty till Aug of next year as it was put in service Aug of 2009

If you'd rather have the HO model JW they (same ski team that I bought mine from) will be offering their 2011 150HO's this fall for a couple grand more then what I'm asking. They are located near Milwaulkee WI and hae other HP offerings as well.
Can put anyone in contact if interested in one of those.

Thanks for the history SunTime! Rather have the standard motor, according to my local mechs the H.O. motors have been showing issues with fried powerheads, one like yours is the ticket for me. No known issues with the standard line. I've been checking the used boat sites for a tri-toon since you listed your motor for sale. Make a nice combo.

ttt and..

I can ship and it will be at my employee discount which would be a lot cheaper then any other shipping company. I'll be pulling this motor off in mid Sept..

Update..

When doing my winterization found metal flaking on plugs of gearcase when I was changing lube in gearcase.

You would need a BRP gearcase and I've located a BRP Magnum gearcase never used, for instance, at $800. You would need to buy a Magnum shift rod and use the upper driveshaft out of existing gearcase which is fine.

Had the Dealer pull the history report after he inspected the gearcase:
224.5 hours. Always starts instantly and ran great.
The history report will show how babied the engine has been as we used it for mostly towing tubes and teaching my Grandkids to ski. Will e-mail history report to serious buyer.

Gearcase findings:
Pinion gear is chipped on 3 teeth
propshaft bent .30
Inspecting Dealer states casing is twisted though I can only see where the skeg is bent out of shape a bit.
Funny thing is prop showed no signs of a impact and prop hub looks perfect.
I do remember hitting a submerged object but it was at least a month ago and I'd have never known there was a issue had I not went to change gearlube for my annual winterization. Engine ran flawless, no noise, no vibration, no nothing running wise to indicate any issue.

Quarter sized scuff/gouge on top of cowling.

I'm asking $5500 as is but shoot me a reasonable offer! I'm all ears!

NEW PRICE $5100 or a REASONABLE offer!

If the engine does not sell in the next 3 weeks or so I'll store it and put on a new take off case and sell it in the spring!

I have the up to date Engine history report available now.
A few notes from that:
Hours are 224.5 on Engine
A lot of P-U boat use - tubing and teaching grandkids to ski hours.47.3% of it's time it spent at 400-800 RPM
10.8% between 801-1200 RPM
7.4% was the next highest at 3501-4000 RPM
0.6% at 5501-5800 RPM
0.1% at 5801-6000 RPM
Percentage from there was spread pretty evenly thru out the rest of RPM range of engine. Actual BRP warrenty until May 5th 2012

Engine has never seen anything but the X-100 syn oil.
Never a issue with engine

Spring is here, or at least near! :)

Bought a Magnum gearcase fom a gentlman over on BBC forums. Was a replacement he never used so....

I installed the Magnum gearcase.
New water pump, housing and all.
New plugs and filter.
Gearlube.
Did everything that would be required at the 300hour service.

I'll leave the motor on the boat for any test drives weather permitting at least until late April, then it's switching spots with my new H.O. thats sitting on a shipping pallet in my garage!
Motor has NEVER let me down, runs awesome and never abused as you can see in the history report.

I'll honor the $6500 to my CM brethern, but it WILL be listed higher on other boating sights as well as locally. This price is a VERY VERY fair price IMO.
At this time I prefer not to ship. Just come take it for a spin, if your really looking, you'll buy it!

I can personally attest to all the claims concerning condition of this engine. I have operated this boat and engine combination on several occasions and the e-tec performs flawlessly. SunTime takes excelent care of his toys.
