2010 LOTO Shootout

I will be there to watch. Most likely going to be with lightning performance group. I am bringing my boat down but only to watch.

Jason

We will be heading out there late Wednesday or early Thursday, not going to compete, just going to check it all out for the first time! Will be coming out with a group, one other Checkmate other than mine...

When is it? And what is it?

What is IT!!!! ...dude you gotta go! The best time you'll ever have if you're into boats. The most happening lake in the U.S. On probably the most happening time of the year. 1000's of horsepower all around you at all times!! 200 mph passes going right in front of you.....and its alll free......I mean if you got a boat it's free except for your gas.

The biggest party of the entire year on the Most happening Lake in the United States is what it is.

Sweet! Best weekend at the lake - period. :thumb:

Agreed!

Anyone over 22' can run. I ran last year and another member here ran as well, but I forget his handle. We need more Checkmates out there! :poke:

This year sounds like it's gonna be a great one. Skaterfest is happening as well, so there will be a mess of them over at Camden On The Lake (Horny Toad) all weekend. Friday night at Dog Days is THE place to be... LOTS of kickazz hardware and tons of people. Great scene.

I'll be running again in the NV2S2 class this year (Non-professional, V-bottom, 27'-31', Stock engines, Twins).

I'll post some more links.

Another great Shootout at the lake. I ran 72, 73, 73, and 69. Last pass was very choppy and I simply tried to air it out too far.

Hope everyone who showed up had a great time. I saw a few Checkmates out spectating.

You win your class.....?

Yep, but I was the only boat in my class for the 2nd year in a row. I guess most stockers are afraid to run their boat in front of a few thousand people or "they have nothing to prove". :p
496 HO's would be in my class, so I know there are faster boats out there. But like they say, ya gotta show up to win. Regardless, I had a great time running the boat again and it's a lot of fun being part of such an event. :thumb:

Way to represent!!! I cheered whenever you ran. If only they would change the rules to allow the smaller boats (my 16' Predictor) although I had just as much fun this weekend running in the washing machine that was the main channel.

Thank you! I saw a few Checkmates out and about, especially while I was idling back to the start. That was good to see. :D

Can you run in that Shootout on the Mississippi coming up on 9/11? I haven't looked over the rules for it.
