2011 244ZT prop selection

I had the pleasure of driving this boat at the bash. It was uncomfortable to me beings i'm used to standing up and see whats coming before your in it but it was a blast. The response reminded me of my 2 stoke waverunner. The boat will pull from 40 to 70+ like nothing. The water was a bit choppy with boat wakes and it was my first time behind the wheel but got her mid seventy. This boat is running good and a blast to drive. On calm water look out!

Thanks for the ride Brian it was fun.

I am very happy with the upgrade, I got 76 on GPS with a half tank and two people. And your welcome Keith. You weren't scared to open her up!! I'm sure I could see 78-79 with a lab finished prop, but that won't be til next year.

I wish you were coming down to lake Cumberland and we could try out my labbed 28. Not sure it would hit the sweet spot but sure would be fun tryin.

28 bravo? For sale? You should come down to my place for the allegheny river poker run in aug. Free room and board.

Not a Bravo but 7% slip with small star shaped blades. I wish I could get that trip in Brian. This summer is flying by and running out of weekends to get it all in. Have you moved in to the new house yet.

Close the 15th, move in next weekend. What kind if prop is it and are you willing to sale?

It is a Spinelli and i cant sell it its my Favorite prop . I just want something smaller for when I have a boat full and want to get up a bit quicker. Are you hitting the limiter or did you shut it off. I cant wait to get waterfront one day. Enjoy your move as it will probably the last for a while. Get us some pics when you can!!

Good luck...that's what I have on mine...your and my setups are about as similar as a cheerleader vs. a fat chick but I really like mine so far.:thumb:

Honestly different boat different power different x dimension...but I do love the prop
We can compare rpm vs mph that's about it
I have seen 79.8@5200

Your getting like 13% slip if you have a 1.5 gear ratio. Assuming you have it on your 259? How much HP? Labbed?

Running a stock 26 bravo my best was something like 5200 rpm at 76mph on gps. I think a 28 bravo labbed for my boat should let me touch 80mph. I don't rev limit until 5400 rpm.

Sorry I don't mean to Jack your thread but is 13% high?
The dyno sheet says 691 hp but that was quite a few years ago and 250 hours ago...
It has been worked and the leading edges thinned but I dunno if I would call it labbed technically.
I wasn't saying our setups would compare I was just saying so far I like my 28 bravo.

Good luck with it I hope it works for you.

Tested the 28 bravo... I was very happy with it. I got 80.3 mph on gps. The prop has a few dings and scuffs. Guessing if I sent it to BBLADES and had it labbed for my specific boat I would see 82. I bought the prop used and it supposedly had some lab work done to it, but I have no idea what was actually done. It jumped right on plain with no problem and pulled hard right up to 80mph. Very very exciting breaking the 80 mph barrier.
