24-26ft convinser

How much will a 24-26ft convincor suck down gas? I'm looking to move up in size from my 16.5 ft predictor and a guy that owns a 25ft convinsor told me that I wouldn't chew that much more than I am now if I'm not driving like an ass. Anyone help me out here. I really want to upgrade but want to be able to use in a couple hours a week. My boat now has a old 1980 115 on it now

They suck the gas as Dave said I would think well more than the 115. If you plan on running hard alot you can easily burn 100 buks in no time or if you chug around and relax as I do sometimes you can make 50 bucks last a weekend. I must warn you will need a big stick to keep the babes off you with a BBC though . Just sayin lol.

Update Dave always has his sweet 253 hammered down constantly lmao.

Ya it's been a dream of mine to have something loud. I grew up on boats and can remember very for many years my grand father had a 1986 four winns liberator and I would have the biggest smile on my face when that boat was just even idling. He just passed away and boating was a big part of are family and I want him to live on threw me now lol. My wife said I could buy one when my trucks payed off in a year. We just go to this river that has a nice sand bar and hang out there for hours. And a couple times to lake Winnie.

Sounds like a great plan Wheelieos. Its hard to put a price on smiles per gallon but the carbed BBCs are less forgiving on the wallet . That is a very big step up in boats but you will be glad you did. Best of luck and happy holidays .

Just don't buy one with a monster motor...I can easily run 200 bucks through my race motor
in a few hours. The faster you go the more it will cost you.

When I first saw my 251 Convincor the thought of fuel mileage never even
entered my mind. I knew I was taking this boat home somehow someway.
So after I got it home is when I called the Ins. co. WOW.
The new Ins. co. thinks its got a V6.
PS never talk to the wife about things like fuel mileage or insurance its all
bad to them and you wont get anything you want like a really cool and loud
big block chev.
