253 Convincor?

Where can I find specs on 253's (hull weight, bottom etc.)

Checkmates website. The 253 is basically the new 270. Also do a search on this site, that is where i got most of my info.
Bottom is 24 deg. Hull weight is claimed 4000 lbs dry.

I just sold my '98 253, it had the small 454 (310hp) it would top out at 60mph and was very good on gas (if that is possible) My boat was like new in every sence, excellent interior, excellent cuddy, Gel coat great, about 360 hours. I got $20,000 for it, NADA prices don't mean much, its what anybody will pay. Hope you can get the boat, you won't be sorry you did.

they are asking 19,500. They said they will take 17,500. But that was with it all optioned out. The boat NADA's for just under 15,000.

17,500 THATS DIRT CHEAP HOW MANY HOURS ARE ON THE ENGINE AND DOES IT COME WITH A TRAILER. The NADA does not mean squat

It has just under 300 hours and has a custom Eagle trailer which will need some work.

Thanks its good to hear it should run 60. My goal is 75 but I'll take 60 just to get on the water.

If the boat is as clean as you say and with trailer, that is a high 20's boat more like 25-30 range. But the economy sucks, but 17500.00 is dirt cheap. The average price lately on a boat like that is 24

I calle'd merc. with the serial # and confirmed it was a 454 Mag. They have it listed at 350 hp but it has the forged pistons and crank, 4 bolt main, and rectangular ports.

I would say 17.5 is a good deal as long as it runs good, Take it out for a test drive, If it runs good turns close to 5000 rpm and nears 60 mph or better, visual inspection is good, feels tight, good oil pressure, and runs cool, I would say snap it up, A compression test would be nice.

Nope just don't want to get it snaked out form under me. Looking at it one more time this weekend with a few thinkgs to look closer at. If all is good then I will make an offer. I'll post the link once the deal is done or does not happen.

I paln on having the sale contingent on sea trial and survey.

I know i may be a bit of a weenie for taking a while but I just found the boat Saturday and have to do my homework on it to make an educated purchase. My goal was to save a few more buck over the Winter and buy somthing in the early spring. Also I really did not want to go any slower than 70mph since all "my peeps" will be walking on me if not. I am not much of a motor head (which is clearly evident by my posts) so I wanted to get a better idea of how much it will cost to make it run faster. I know it may be frustrating reading my post especially since I am knew here but I am not a tire kicker. If anyone is on OSO, speedwake,boatfreaks, &SOS. I have many post over there under the same SOX screen name.

I will say it again 17500 is a smokin deal if its nice with under 300 hours. The truth is spring is a fools time to buy a boat,, now until febuary is the best. Late December is the best where all boat companies and sellers need money.
