26P vs. 24P Bravo One

Looks real good!
I guess the bravo performs well on that hull:thumb:

I'm not brave enough to hammer mine outta the hole like that. I always ease up to on plane like grandpa- that vid makes me want to try it, though.

i run the bravo hard and it has worked well for me... i have about 450 hours on in and just replaced the gimbal bearing and bellows this last august. the 26p prop and base 496 are the perfect combo for my 240.

Are those graphics on the side in the gel, or did you have that done?

On edit: looks like factory work since the interior matches. Great looking boat!

I switched out my 24P Bravo One with a 26P and gained nearly 5mph, enmabling me to just barely hit 70 mph..... Holeshot and the ride to 70mph can be seen below.

This is what I try to tell people that are trying to get more top end by turning a smaller prop at a higher RPM . When the combination is right and you have the torque to pull a larger prop it is posible to drop a little RPM hook up better and gain top end speed.i

So how much was your RPM drop going to a 26 p? Sounds like you found the sweet spot where your boat runs.

Nope... I started to clean the upper tonight to get it shined up before I bolt it on, but didn't have toilet bowl cleaner- just some premixed tb cleaner for hull stains (its not strong enough)- I gotta run to the store in the morning:brickwall:

the graphics are factory, i actually have a little bit of fading on red graphics on the port side, if the price is right i am going to get all of the coloring redone over the winter.

i lost about 300 rpm with the prop switch, but with the 24p i was hitting almost 5100 rpm on my 496 and setting off my smart craft alarm with even a moderate load. with just me and one or two folks aboard im turning in the 4700-4800 rpm range... perfect prop for this boat/engine combo, just sorry i didnt try it out sooner.

Good lookin boat by the way. It's great to hear you got your rig dialed in. You will also gain longevity for your engine and drive turning lower RPM, Just keep your servicing up and fluids changed, which you sound like you do.
