Bought a 1990 Johnson 200 a few weeks ago. It's a 3 liter, so is kinda' heavy (450 pounds according to NADA), but I got a really good deal on the engine. By the way, the boat's going to have a 6 inch manual jackplate.
I'm wondering if I should make some provisions to move some weight forward to offset the engine's weight, and right now while I'm still rebuilding the hull would be the easist time to do something. I'm thinking one good option would be to move one of the batteries to just behind a bow seat.
