400 Mercury

jjg, I was out on the boat today and noticed the coastguard sticker near the throttle has 350 HP as the max. Are you going to get a new sticker that has 400 HP assuming you can?

HMMM thats a good question since the 400 didn't exist?
how do boats get thier ratings to begin with?

Yep, Dean will be making me a new one. The 2400 is unlimited so its not an issue.

If you talk to Dean before I do, see if he can make a few new USCG stickers because I just placed my order:drool:

I spoke to Hayabusa who also jumped on the high speed bandwagon and he was mounting his this weekend:thumb: I'm sure he'll probably use one.

USCG Capacity Decal

I did some searching online and found the link below for "Garzon Studios Decals" for a new capacity decal. Or should I say a decal that has 400 as the max rated HP.

It was very easy to type in the information you needed on the site and place the order. The info entered is: # persons, lbs., total lbs. with gear, boat model, and mfg info. The cost was $20 and it arrived 2 days later. It looks identical to the original but with the new HP rating.

I know Dean was interested because it sounded like a pain for him to go through his channels.
