Your still in the safe zone with factory steering... If your pounding the rough stuff (high side loads) than I'd worry. I ran my Warlock offshore 85-86mph with STOCK STEERING with NO ISSUES!!! For 70+, you can always add a "SIDE-WINDER" steering stabilizer cheap as added insurance... The next step from that is an external single system that uses your factory power steering valve & hydrolics...it's about $1800-$2000.

I would get the steering. I don't trust that factory cable system. That is for pleasure boats, not performance boats. Better to be overkill when it comes to safety.

Vinny's right...
But watch, the "basic" external kits still use the factory cable & control valve to operate the external hyd cyl to do the work (steering arm inside boat does nothing).

A full blown hyd steering system also has a hyd helm...(uses NONE of the factory system including the power steering pump- can all be eliminated). Most of these systems also use the dual ram external type hyd cyl's and your talking $3000-$5000+ to do this correctly. You better be "extra fast" to need that type of set-up...but than again, it's like flying "First Class" all the way!!!
