" For Sale" 496 aluminum stock exhaust

These are some of the best flowing stock manifolds Merc ever made. And the do bolt right up to 454/502 engines. Perform about the same as most aftermarket aluminum manifolds.

a magnet will give you the ability to say "theyre aluminum" vs "I was told they were aluminum"

not saying theyre not aluminum, but for the 1 second it takes to put a magnet to them it would eliminate all doubt.

99% of 496 exhaust manifolds are aluminum. If you don't have a magnet, just lift one. If you still have both testicles after you lift it, they are aluminum,

Trust me boys they are aluminum, I carried them to the house. I also don't need a magnet to tell the difference. Now that we have settled that, who wants them?

I wasn't patronizing you for your metal detection skills, merely suggesting something more positive than "I've been told they were"; a phrase that doesn't instill confidence in a potential buyer.

Good luck.

You have obviously never heard of Jason Kunkel or Kunkel's Marine. Jason and his dad have forgotten more than most of us will ever know about making big power in I/O Checkmates. If they say a part is or isn't something, you can pretty much take that to the bank.

I was uncertain by the pics posted when I asked about them. As soon as he said Kunkels said they were I shut my trap. I agree with Corey if Jason says they are aluminum you can take that to the bank.

noted. ill start selling 350's as 502's and saying "kunkels told me it was a 502".

I will reiterate that I never suggested (or had any suspicion) that it wasn't aluminum.
