502 Head Gasket (I think)

Im guessing you are going to pull that head and find your culprit.....

Yeah, I can see under there separation on the gasket and water is still dripping.i guess I'm lucky it wasn't going in to cylinders and hydro lock and break something. Trying to look on the bright side here other than sling is coming up here to work and put down a few cold ones

Def not cometic gaskets....performance marine

I spy with my little eye a Channel for water to get in my oil on cylinder 2 in under the intake. I was right, just enough gasket left to keep almost all out of my cylinder.

That is where it happens . no head bolt on that spot on 4 cyls. That is why it it so important that the head is true. . Also DON"T clean that head with a cleaning pad . It has to be very smooth for the cometic gaskets to seal.
I would get on the phone and call machine shops till I found somebody to resurface the heads tomorrow. Its cheap and will make a much better seal.
Your almost half way there.:bigthumb:.
lets find out the stroke.

O'yey coors light by the gallons

I took boat home already, going to have to wait on the stroke. i kept the heads and intake to clean off the gasket. Machine shop gonna have to wait, no go, I called 3. She will give me a month of love I feel it plus I I am a receipt inspection deminsional tech, there is no more than 1 to 2 thousandths of difference under the straight edge.

Are you going to have this running on Saturday for the concert or are you coming boatless?

The plan is to be there, boat in tow, may even have a co pilot (Slingblade) if he is still around. Need to test her a bit before the wedding. There will be no speed runs rest of this year though, not machining the heads, winter freshen up with Slingblade is the plan, I will turn the wrench he will drink beer and make sure I don't do anything stupid. :rof:

Awesome see you guys there. We may or may not have the new to me sea ray. Have to replace a couple lower unit seals and I'm still waiting on the title.
