I just installed a revolution marine dry joint exhaust on my 454. the angle of the riser to the exhaust tip didnt look much different than the oems. The first set of exhaust hose i installed were not 2 ply steel braided. About an hour after running both hoses blew through. Yesterday i installed the 2 ply braided hose not easy to work with at all hoping this would not collapse and solve my problem. They didnt burn through yet but i suspect they might. Basically what i am asking is due to the angel and heat could i use hump hoses? or do you guys have any other suggestions? Thanks

I installed through hull in an old boat of mine with intergrated swim step and had to have some drop down pipes made for it at a sheet metal shop. They were made out of stainless was really nice when completed after getting the pipesw all I had to do was put a couple small piecies of hose on each side of pipe to connect it worked great didnt have to worry about any burn through. Hope this helps.

is this an aftermarket bolt on.. or a custom made job??? what you have is a hot spot.. and will burn thru wire wrapped hose too.. i do alot of custom exhaust.. (i dont make em) but i measure out for em.. and if there not right.. they will cause heartache and wallet ache...

for the most part.. headers do not fit from boat to boat.. nor does riser application// and sort.. be careful..

It is am aftermarket. My buddy who ownes a marina and is a mechanic ordered fiberglass elbows 45's. He said we could make up the angle by cutting the 45 elbows and it will work.
