Hey thanx for posting my pix! i just got this boat this past summer for a grand! The driver's seat has a few rips and so does the back bench seat, but the colors are nice. im missing a spedometer guage cd player and speakers but all the interior is going to be redone this summer. i got two 1969'mercs 135, and a 115 for $500.which were in storage for 25 yrs and have only a couple hundred hours on them. this is my second checkmate!I had a mx13 with a 40 merc when i was 9yrs old.my father has had probably around a dozen checkmates and i have alot of oldschool pics that need to be scanned to my H.D. so i can post them. i would love to get some good action shots posted this summer!
family boats:
21' superboat w/ 250 black max-dad
15' Glastron gt15 w/ 115 tower of power-brother

VERY NICE!!
Sounds like you got a good deal.
I spent $3000 + $500 for motor repair.
Has run great since then.
Did that cover come with it??
I have been thinking about putting one on.

I have an '85 Predictor w/'87 115 Merc.
I get 53 mph with a 22P stainless.
Fast enough for me!! Not many of us Predictor
owners around!

Enjoy!!

thanx! gr8 deal couldnt be happier. the cover came with the boat and is a great thing to have, it keeps everthing out but water. it also came with a full canvas cover, jackplate, new steering, and new wiring for a stereo system and ignition/guages for OMC motors.also a custom subwoffer box in the bow for 2 10' woffers. hopefully i will switch to a evinrude 150

as of last summer it had a 135 with a nose cone and laser II stainless prop and trim est around 63-65mph
very stable at all speeds turns on a dime
more pics when summer arrives

I have a '79 predictor and I want to have a similar cover made for mine, although I think I'd want the cover to go over the windshield to protect it while towing. It's not like you can use the cover when it rains.....

Pete

Yeah the cover is a key investment. you can spray a special sealint on the canvas to make it somewhat waterproof....

Can anyone tell me how much a ski pole would cost? and where i can get one?
