91 281 Convincor for $6,500.00!

I was thinking the same thing! Hull looks nice from that pic. Would you go with 6.0 truck motas or go 5.3 DOD engines for the aluminum blocks?

Your right. That is a lot of boat for the money. Deffinatelly a good project boat for somebody.

Im trying to talk the lady into it! its not going well so far... Something about already owning 2 mates and a 3rd boat. She doesnt seem to think i need 4! :(

I am doing the same. I was thinking "his and hers" would be the names
A guy can never have to many Red Checkmates.
I would go with 5.3s They are cheap and easy to come up with. I think with the right cams it would have pleanty of power and good mileage

I sent it to my buddy. As long as his wife OK's it, we might have a new forum member. It also depends on whether or not it really is what he says it is.

How would you go about paying someone to look at this boat? I have talked to the guy and he sound straight up. I would want to know about the wood ,transom, stringers ect.

I get a 10% finders fee!

I do hope someone on here does get it. If you guys are serious about the boat, I would move fast because it won't be around very long......

I could go get it for someone if they need me to but I don't want to be responsible for saying if its a good boat or not.

Wow....certainly a bargain for the red boat lovers out there!! Hopefully someone from the forum gets it. Good luck with the chase boys. :thumb:

I don't blame ya. If it were me I'd have someone do a visual check ASAP then make an agreement based on a survey. Problem I see is at that price he might not be willing to wait for the survey with so many people interested.

Looks better in the far away craigslist pic. New interior, motor work, double check the stringers, transom, floor, new gauges, buff the gel coat. Someone will either put a lot of time....or a lot of money into that boat to make it what they want.

Looks like the engine compartment had a lot of moisture for a long time....especially to completely rust the hatch lift like that. Run unless you can beat him down more on price
