95 MPH ZT218? Or full of it?

"Garage kept and meticulously cared for and cleaned"
Is it me or does that back seat not look so clean in the photos.

I sent him this message just because I feel like a dick today....... In what world does that boat run 95mph? What kind of boost? How have you passed what every other boater with a bravo can not see without a nose cone? I'm thinking you should edit that speed to a more realistic speed number, maybe even take it out and get a pic of the GPS display! Just make sure you can not see the dash and hood of the vette when you take it... Thanks for the laugh of the day in the checkmate community!!!

May I say that I waited over two hours before saying anything bad, to aviod the Wrath of SIM. Also, my whole boat is only the size of the swimstep on this vessel, but, 95 mph may be possible. I would like to respectfully point out the green substance that kind of outlines the vessel on the concrete??? ! I may be detecting some dirt in the upper left corner of the engine compartment in the photo. Looks like dirty hand prints on the seats. I like the vessel though, and believe it's speeding while just sittin there on the trailer.

21' Pulsare w/300hp consistently goes 90+, don't see why a slightly bigger/heavier boat with 200 more HP can't do the same. I'll give'm the benefit of the doubt. I'd reply to YF to GFY, as a seller, do you really want someone that isn't even faintly interested in your boat questioning your stuff and telling you how to advertise your stuff wasting your time? Drive up there, pay for his gas and go for a joy ride and eat your words when he proves it.

What do you mean 500hp? It says right in the ad that it is 300... which is what the 350 Supercharged Mag is. I'm not an I/O guy but wouldn't that put the boat closer to 75mph?

my first question would be, whats it wieght? is he talking it went that fast with a different pully? different motor?

ok let me edit this real quik, so this boat weights in at app. 2850lbs.
the 251 weights in at 3800lbs per nada...

my motor is running 500hp and 565 ft lbs of torque, this motor assuming its at 500hp with that pully and less torque than any big block doubtfully will run 20+ mph than a boat similar to mine....
to wrap that up he is claiming 20+mph for 1000lbs???? dont think so

I knew this boat would come up on here I agree 95 is way high but it is a nice piece is the supercharger stock or a add on?

I think he was just inferring that he had put a "Supercharger" on a 350 MPI which was 300 hp stock. With the supercharger it could (depending on boost) make considerably more than 300. I can see 450 horse pretty easily and 500 if the guy was out of his mind with boost.

Plus, it appears to be a Whipple, which should make more torque than a centrifigual supercharger and he may be able to swing a pretty big wheel.

I am not saying he can or can't, but like I said in the other thread, 95 mph in that boat could be one hell of a ride.

This question came up on the GIGI link to the EBAY advertisement. I suggested that the low 80's may be realistic with this rig as a discussion point because truthfully I have no idea. I have seen that it is not uncommon to see a supercharged motor gain 1.5 times the HP from its stock form.

Anyone willing to bite on that suggestion (low 80's)?

Also, why bash on the dude. Not everyone has GPS, and not everyone really gives a F***. Is it false advertising, maybe, but it ain't my place in life to question the honesty of every dude on the Internet! Hell, some of the stuff on this site makes me laugh because it is so far from the truth but for the most part I shrug it off.

I am so sick of stupid people who claim **** is what it aint. People get on here and bash the hell out of a active member who post GPS speed of his boat because of his prop slip. This guy is a total tool and smoking the crack pipe to think this would EVER run 95+. With Lots of boost, it would produce ~ 500 at the most. That power might push it to 80.....might.

BTW, he responded back and said its only the "dream-o-meter"

WOW AMAZING!!! He changed his listing

2006 CHECKMATE BOATS INC ZT 218, 21' 8'' Custom built Checkmate ZT 218 with "Supercharged" 350 Magnum MPI 300HP Mercruiser and 4 inch SS Corsa Quick and Quiet Exhaust.

Equipped with C-Hawk Custom trailer with brakes and aluminum mags, Mirage SS propeller, bucket seats, rear sun and swim deck, Mercury Gauges, electric hatch lift, Clarion 4x50W CD Player and much more.

Boat has 35.6 hrs on it and is still in showroom condition.

Garage kept and meticulously cared for and cleaned. This amazing boat is sleek, and very fast with the Whipple supercharged 350MPI.

There is absolutely not one scratch or blemish anywhere; the fiberglass, vinyl, and carpet are perfect..this is a guarantee!

No more mention of speed. Imagine that!

If it was even close to a legit speed, it would still be posted in the listing....

Not that far up the road for me. I like it. Think it would look good in the garage. Got to find out what it is worth. Only a coupla hundred miles North. Wonder how much of a pain to bring vessel across the border.
