A 283 project just getting started

We had a great time up there and the 253 was very impressive as he was out front all day. Sounds amazing ran even better .A very nice rig :thumb: What boat do you run on the river ?

Here is a short vid of Ron aka Gimme Fuel ,the girls and I running the Saginaw river headed out to the bay. I did some measuring on my x dimension due to my prop slip numbers being horrible on flat water . I am at 6 1/2" below and after talking to others with fast 283/300 I am way to deep. Hoping to make a couple changes to help out with that but I am seeing 72 pretty regularly reguardless of the water conditions. In the flat she is a turd for the most part. More boost is in order !!

Well I ended up putting a wrap on my Convincor. I have wanted to get rid of the graphics since I bought it and just did not want to spend 7k+ for this boat to be painted . The wrap was only about 40% of that . I really like it and I'll try to put a vid from Edgewraps Facebook page. It's extremely dirty on the bottom and will be sanding and buffing it soon. I filled all the holes for the rails and have started tonight to put some of the hardware back on. I am ordering a new aluminum tube swim platform and it will be silver. I picked up several props over the winter and a new pulley to get me to 7 lbs boost. I need to get over to Mr Gadgets and pic up my drive that he tore down inspected and resealed for me. Can't wait for a hot sunny weekend on the lake !!

I was not happy about the design not pushing on to the windsreen . It might be going back to get that done . The lady that prices the jobs supposedly never added in money for that . They ended up wrapping it white and knocking 300 bucks off. Ill probably give them back the 300 and have it done how I wanted it . :brickwall:

I actually like the original better than the wrap, just not a fan of the tribal design but, to each their own. If you like it, that's all that matters.

Looks good, PC! And if you tire of it....you can just take it off!

Thanks Sct. We will probably be moving up to a 38+ in the next year or so or maybe sooner. We do love the ride quality of this 283 . It runs extremely smooth and enjoying it !!

I really love how this boat is turning out. It's really awesome.
You get a 28 pitch to bite and you get it running in the 80s...holy smokes that's an awesome rig. I bet people will be knocking your door down to buy it 👍
