Hi.

Just purchased an 85 Predictor with a 97 125hp Merc. Bought it site unseen. Looks Ok, needs paint. Supposed to have new floor and transom. I hope it was done right. Tried it out once, turned 4800rpm and 52mph with a 24P Lazer II. Used to have an 85 Diplomat with an 86 175hp Marriner. Sold in 4 years ago, biggest mistake.

Cannot wait to tweak this Predictor. Looking for any advise.

welcome, i'm in southern maine
you planning on keeping the 125 on it?
 
Hi. I grew up in Wells, we used to visit Great East and Mousam all of the time. We used to hang out way at the end, there was a small island we used to beach at and ski around. I heard someone bought it and tents out there all of the time.

No plans right now to change the 125. It seems to run fine. A little slower than I thought it may be. I ordered a new 21P prop to get the RPM's up a little. Any ideas, info, suggustions would be appreciated.

Oh yeah, i know a few people form wells.
I spent many a night partyin on that island myself...its actually my neighbor that bought it.

Mine likes to be right up about even with the pad...if you could pick up a jack plate that would really let ya play and find out, or raise it up a hole and go for a spin. I would think a couple inches below would be where you'd want it.

My Dad grew up in Bingham.

Enjoy the board; Best one around!!

You should get a higher speed with your setup.
I get 52 GPS with my 115: No jackplate rpm around 5300 (If Tach is correct) with a 23P michagan Wheel stainless Just my 2 cents

Hi 85 Predictor.

Yea that was me, I was looking for a checkmate and yours and the one I got were the only 2 I could find. I bought the one I got because of price. Yours is a nice boat. I was surpised to see you here. I have a 24P Lazer II you can try if you want. (I saw your other post)
