another stereo question

Now that many of you have convinced me to go with an "under-the-dash mount", I have 4 Polk Audio speakers and was going to mount them in the bulkheads under the bow where the foam is. Is this an OK plan? How would you go about cutting into those areas? I was thinking of drawing the pattern out on the carpet, drillign a hole and using a scroll saw to cut the holes. Also, I was thinking of ordering a Sony deck and a small 10" sub with a 2 channel amp to power it. How does this plan sound?

Thanks, Tom

have you removed the bow foam????? if you have not you will wana do that first..... once you do that you will see how easy it is to mount things on the wall that holds the foam in! you may have to make a new wall depending on how easy you are when you pull it out. just my 2 cents.........ross

i like under dash myself, built shelf and carpeted. stereo is right of glove box, amp is under shelf.IMAG0735.png

Nice jon on the custom mount! The most important item in that photo is the beer!

Thanks, Tom

Nice find, must have been a corona day.
Another thing done with the stereo is strap antenna up against cap with wiring. no hole needed. did drill one for remote beside swim step. no regrets.

would be safer if running a hot foot. there just awkward to me for overall cruising/water sports. extra buttons for jack plate.:offtopic:
