Your definately right on that one, expecially since the weather man dont know what hes talking about most of the time.
I like this one for the marine forcast, it gives projected wave heights. How big do the waves get to be on Lake St. Claire? Waves around 1 foot for St Clair on saturday, doesnt get any better then that on Lake Michigan.

Most of St. Clair waves are man made. Theres alot of boats on the lake. Lots of money in the area = Bigger egos + bigger boats+ bigger speeds. All the boats travel in all directions creating a mosh pit of waves.But between mother nature and bigger boats with no regaurd, I've only seen 2-3+ seas on lake St. Clair.
I'd wouldn't worry about it till 4-5 ftrs like Erie throws at u almost daily.
