Any interest in a "free" Checkmate Hull?

Hey, just kicking an idea around. I replaced my 1975 Checkmate Predictor BR a couple of years ago with an 86 Eluder. The old girl has just been sitting out in my field wasting away. She needs a lot of TLC. She needs the stringer and flooring replaced, rear seat rebuilt and new upholster. Gel-coat is shot and either needs redone or painted. I've had it listed on Craigslist several times but no real takers. So now to my question . I'm now thinking about parting her out, Prestolite trim/ tilt uint, Airguide gauges, OMC control box, 135 Evinrude and finally the trailer. I could make more money that way than what I was asking for the whole package. I just have a hard time thinking about taking a usable hull to the landfill. So if I went this route is there anyone who would be interested in a free Checkmate hull. I've attached some pics below. Thanks, Jim

Corey, you are definitely correct. The 86 Eluder is sitting behind the old girl. The one in the pictures is the 75 that I originally bought back in 1987. Back before you had even hatched. Kind of embarrassed as to her current state. She was a fantastic slalom/ barefoot/ tubing boat, but age and neglect finally caught up with her. That's why I retired her and bought the Eluder. I've been hoping someone would pick her up and restore her as I had originally intended to do, but now I'm considering all my options. I've posted a couple of pics of Eluder below. Similar, but different.:thumb: Jim

No problem, it' all good. I appreciate you trying to help keep me on the straight and narrow cause I do make mistakes from time to time. Big Mama, Tami, can sure attest to that. Hope you have a great Holiday week end.:thumb: Jim

That is a Trimate II, not a Predictor. Very popular boat from the time. Seem to be everywhere. I've given a few of them away myself.

Sawzall cuts through fiberglass easier than a chainsaw. Easy to load in a dumpster after its cut up.

Thanks for setting me straight. I've always thought it looked like a Trimate II as pictured in the brochure that came with it. Every time I've seen a Trimate II I thought they looked the same. That explains why I could never find a picture of an other Predictor BR. I was just going on what I was told when I bought it back in 87 and the emblems on the sides. The guy I bought it from was the original owner so I never really questioned it. Some how he must have acquired a set of Predictor emblems and put them on it himself. Jim

you and I are in the boat!! I would really love to have it but way to far for me. 1200 miles to be exact
