I read the add and the way the guy words things I feel he has never stuck the boat in the water. He has only ran the boat sitting on the trailer. This guy bought the boat for a quick turn around sale.

He claims the prevous owner stuck a new floor in but, it needs a few more screws. First thing I thought of was the stringers were rotton and the srcrews didnt hold that were in their in the first place.

The way the outdrive looks and all the rust under the engine hatch and the way the bottom is fadded I feel this boat has been left in the water for many years.

This is just my 02 on the boat.

I talked to this guy a few weeks ago. He had a couple other boats I was interested in. I bid the first one up and met the reserve. I started getting shipping quotes then went away for the weekend. When I got home he had ended the auction early. I started bidding on the 2nd boat, then said screw it figuring he'd end it early again which he did. The Checkmate was probably a decent buy if you could do some of the work yourself.

it went for 4600 or so. i was scared of the floor issues and the omc drive. not a big fan of that setup. if it was closer to me i would have at least gone for a looksee. anyone here pick it up?
