JUST WONDERING IF ANYBODY IS RUNNING A MERCURY MAXIMUS PROP. I HAVE HEARD SOME GOOD THINGS ABOUT THEM, BUT THEY ARE PRICEY. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW FIRST HAND WHAT IT WOULD DO ON MY 30' BEFORE I GO BUY.

They are used mostly with stepped hulls and cats running high X dimensions where slippage is a problem using a bravo 1 prop.

i know a few people who run them, they run good. like you said ,i need to see what my slippage is. i am going to call merc racing and see what they say.

i called merc racing, got good news and bad news. after going through a lot of different set ups and props,he said "checkmate done a hell of a job setting up my boat". my x demention is perfect and all the work kunkles did is right on the money. with everything right, not much room to improve.to go faster i will need more power.
