Anyone own or ever own a 1990 ambassador with a 454 in it?

Thinking about driving 5 hours to get this 1990 ambassador. Just wondering if anyone on here has owned one. It has a 454 Mercruiser Enginge, Bravo Drive trim tabs, Stainless Steel Prop. Just wondering about top speeds and handeling. thanks

Gonna do it

Going saturday to pick up the new to me ambassador. Found out that he had new edelbrock* heads and pistons done. Has dyno sheet says it has 430hp. Looks real clean in the picture and the guy is an older guy with kids so I'm guessing it wasn't abused. I'll know more Saturday when I get there I'll post pics if everything goes good.

Fixed Your Link

I think if I didn't just buy the Starliner that's in my driveway I would be fueling up the truck and taking a ride to Vermont soon. :) 19 foot boat with a built big block! Are you f'ing kidding me?!?! That's sweet!!

John

Thanks

I live on the eastern end of lake Ontario....gonna be a fun summer can't wait!! I'm very curious what this boat is gonna do on the gps... I'll have to leave the seller at the dock and take it out by myself and see if it's gonna do what I want. If I hit 70 I'll be very happy, depending on what prop he has on it.

First time out

Well took her out for the first time today. Hit 66 mph gps, little under 5000 rpms, 23p stainless quicksilver prop. I think I can switch props up and get alittle more. I have plenty of motor. Should I go to a 24-25 or go with a 21 and play trim?
