Anyone still boating?

Jury is still out on that it had good speed but my chinewalk was worse than b4 i put the jp on, i ended going from 3 3/4 to 3 inches from the pad and it got better but still bad.

Im done for the year as of 1 hour ago, final numbers are 63.2 with a 23p and new jp.:)
63.2 with the 150??
Thats really good!:bigthumb:
I saw 66.7 with a 175 and 8" of setback on mine- there might have been some more there, but I yanked the motor off and replaced with the omc.

Had the Persuader on the Mississinewa Reservoir today with wife and two daughters. Ran with 3 thirty foot Fountains and a tunnel hall boat with supercharged big block that was running 93 on gps. The Persuader was doing 64mph on gps with about 40 gallons of gas, had a blast trying to keep up with the big dogs. Wish someone could have got pics of us running with them, had the Persuader trimmed up and wide open trying to keep up, they were riding smooth thru the chop while we were chine walking all over the place occasionally coming clear out of the water. Lots of fun! We won't put her in the barn till it gets in the fifty's. Have pics of the tunnel hall and fountains just got to figure out how to get them on here.

If we are still going to be boating in the middle of October in northern Ontario, you guys down in the mid to southern states should be going strong until at least the end of November!! To the boys in Florida, your boating season should be twelve months!!!!! When I come down to Florida in February your weather is as nice as ours is in May/Early June. What I wouldn't give to be able to cruise in my Checkmate twelve months of the year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I put a new 25 trophy on this weekend. What a hole shot an accelleration!!! 85+ at 6500 rpm. Great 4 blade for this boat. Now she is like the bear away for the winter!!:(

water temp is down to 66, and last night air temp was in the high 30's, warmed up to mid 60's today, perfect boating weather...

saw 70 on the speedo, (dead batteries in the GPS) but tomorrow I will get a reading....

ahhh the crisp fall air.

Well guys I think I am done...

I went through more fuel than I expected to yesterday and I don't feel like buying anymore Mercury fuel additives.... (cheap SOB) LOL

I love boating in the fall, the ramp was quiet (didn't see any idiots). I was able to ski all day without fighting white caps from wake board boats. It was great.

OK the good stuff....

Last run, the air temp was around 60* (6pm), I was running on fumes. My brother was cruising next to me in his BAJA at about 50 MPH. Me and Mama in the boat, with a small cooler and ski gear..... I hammered down and within seconds the 2100 just LIFTED on the pad. I had the slider 3/4 down, so I had some chine-walk to drive thru (GF hates the chine-walk). I was at 78MPH GPS (over trimmed) and climbing fast before I heard a sweet little voice say, "honey I think that is enough".

DAMN IT!!!!!LOL It was the right move, we didn't have vests on and I wasn't wearing my tether.

I have gone faster, but for some reason I don't remember the boat just lifting like this (must have been the light fuel). What a rush..for me anyway.

What a great run. My Dad was in my Brother's boat and he said my boat just pulled away like someone hit the brakes in the other boat.

I am all over the limiter with a lab finished 26P Trophy+. I think I will look for a 28P to have lab finished for next years high speed runs (they are few and far between).

Sorry so long,

HD

Went out yesterday. Excellent day! Very quiet though. I spent most of the day alone. Many have already given up for this year.

I'm not ready yet! Boat time is precious, and its a long wait until next year. I'd like to get another weekend.:)

Start looking for another gf....:poke::D:p

LOL:rof:

With all the stuff she has to deal with (me), I try to respect her wishes and keep it under 70MPH. Although it doesn't always happen...

Chit, I have scared the piss out of grown men at 80mph!!!!!

I had a buddy with one of those Jet-Ski boats (older one, but it still did 55). I would get so pissed, because his wife started pinching him if he went over 40.

I just got done bleeding my steering so I should be on the water this weekend with the Valero. I just need to get a seat in it. If not I will take the enchanter out. Either way I should be boating by Saturday.;)
