best boats ever.....checkmate

I personally will never buy any other brand. When I was 12 I fell in love with the '92 Starliner that belonged to our neighbors up in MN.

Their boat.

I was absolutely obsessed with that Starliner. I rode in it every chance I got. I knew I would have one someday.

When I got to the point where I could start to afford a toy such as a boat I started doing some research and discovered that Checkmate produced a closed bow version of this hotrod beauty! OMG, I had to have THAT! I was 23 when I bought my '87 Starflite and it's been a blast ever since.

62mph was great but I wanted something more than the common place V6 outboard......

I apologize for the photo-diary folks.....can you tell I love my Checkmate?

Thats cool. I was afraid to put a V8 on my 88 Starflite, didnt think the transom could take it. I stuck with my 200XP.
