best prop

i have a 97 convincer 28' 502mpi all stock bravo1 drive i changed my tips over the winter and gained a few mph my prop is a mercruiser bravo1 4 blade 22p 15d stainless is this the best prop for speed & is there anything else ican do for speed that is not real major

I think that prop is a bit small for you. At 5100 you are or at least are close to being on your rev limiter. I would think that you could run a 26" Bravo that is labbed. Check out the attached link. If you call, tell Julie I sent you. http://www.throttle-up.com/

When you lab a prop, it basically means that the blades are balanced, thinned and contoured to your application. The prop can be made to give you better performance when done correctly. The down side is that the prop is no where near as strong as a stock prop. It will bend much easier if you hit something. But, then the idea is to go fast and not hit anything.
