Just rebuilt 454 gen V, installed EMI Thunder alum. headers, victor high rise, 850 Dbl pumper and M1 Procharger. PC sez I have to run a 11.5 at exhaust (not to lean not to rich) I contacted a mech. that sez I have to have O2 sensor port installed in my new alum headers cuz the sensors can not get wet. Anyone out there know how I get my holley tuned in just right w/o jacking with my new exhaust. First time to work with a supercharger. Thanks appreciate any help you can give this Austin country boy.

I put an O2 bung in my EMI Exhaust.....it works great. I also put a bung for a pyrometer probe on the other side. The only other way to tune would be go to a dyno shop (they usually have headers rigged up with the sensors) and have them tune it. I don't think I would want to mess around with reading plugs with that setup.

i totally agree, the o2 sensor and egts are the best way! which EMIs do you have? i have a black set of aluminums with o2 bungs and threads for an EGT probe for sale. we used them on our procharger motors. emis, 650.00.
i think i also have a white egt guage with sensors. livorsi i think. not sure what they would go for.

sorry, this isnt a classified ad but thought you may be interested.

also, you can try to be a little leaner at idle if possible, what carb is on it? Nickerson does a great job with the carbs! he has done mine twice in the past with great results....plan a couple hundred for his services.

Procharger O2 set up

I have EMI alum. thunder headers w/805 dbl pumper, what is a bung and is it already there or do I have to have one installed. Thanks.

the bungs are plugged holes where an o2 sensor could be mounted kevin has a set of risers with them already installed that way you can plug the diagnostic machine into them and it will tell you where your fuel mix is at ive never run them and always tuned stuff the old fashioned way but if your blower motor is running too lean it will eat itself from the inside out in a hurry i have met people that had the bungs welded in but wouldnt know where to have it done by you
