Boat name..

New member
Any idea's guys.. Wife wants to be all emotional and name it about the kids or something..

Names Tyler and Ashley but can't think of anything cool with it.

But i like these:

No Regrets
Liquid Asset
Liquid Force
Liquid Speed
Liquid Escape
Rock Steady

Full Throttle

Personally id let the kids name their own boats when the time comes.

The name should be your own and mean something to you. In my area many people name their boats after their career.

To personalize it for your family you could take all of your signatures to a decal guy and have them made into decals using a small font. Then you can put those under the boat name. Something like this:

Liquid Affairs
CREW: You Wife Tyler Ashley

Just my 2 cents. Post up pics when you get it done!

sorry - no emotion when it comes to naming boats so how about this instead:

how about "ph1ngering's wet dream"????

or

money burner (one of my favourites)

sippyrats idea about making everyones signature into the decal is very, very cool.

Yeah i like the crew idea, that will make her happy, then i can name her what every i want.. both party's happy.. GLAD i asked here!!! Thanks

now your talkin!! but i suppose the captain shouldn't be listed with the crew. oh how about this:

Liquid Affairs
You - Captain
Wife - First Mate
Tyler & Ashley - Dock Hands

maybe it's too much but you could get pretty creative with it.

Saw one of the best boat names ever this weekend.... "Fat Looks Better Tan", the wife and I laughed out butts off at that one!!!

But yeah, for youe case, I like the "crewed by" idea.

I love these threads when the come up every now and again, there are some pretty neat ideas. I named my 'Disturbance' only because i made some poor kid pee his pants on the docks one day when i let the big block off. Scarred him for life, :eyecrazy:
My second choice was going to be "why wife works", given by someone on here. Wife shot that down though :p

I think it's going to be hard to top "Wasted Income" on my new boat. I got a couple ideals, but will not make a decision until I got the boat and use it for a while. That way it truly fits the boat ;)

My daughter named my boat. she asked me when the boat boat was made. I told her it was a 72. she then said is it older than you (me). I said yes. she then said it reminded her of my dad. and then she said because it reminded her of papa she wanted it named Old Timer. and after I picked myself up off the floor from laughing I told her that would be fine. and the name has stuck. although my dad wasn't too happy with the name at the time.

In Passing

I agree that the name must mean something to YOU.

We picked "En Passant" which is French for "In Passing". This has a double meaning.

My wife is French, so the French name pleases her. In Passing is appropriate since that is what we do most of the time to other boats on the lake.

It is also a reference to a special chess move, hence connected to Chess and "Checkmate".

well my 251 was called "bad habit" fits plus was a tribut to a local band that were very close friends of mine...the leader and I were real close...they were top bill around local places..even opened up for top touring bands...they were "bad habits" they even played at my house for my oldest son's surprise 18th birthday....one hell of a party I want to tell you !!! anyway Brian beat colon cancer...and it was tounch and go for a while...only to die in a car crash on the way to work...sorry for long deal here...so after that and the new boat....became "another bad habit"...in memory of Brian Pucket..RIP brother
