Is anyone a member? I was going to join and it asks if a BoatUS member has referred me and if so to include their name and member number and they'll get a gift. So if some wishes to receive a gift form them, PM me their name and member number.

BoatUS is the greatest, never have to worry about what ifs. If something breaks you call vessel assist and they bring what you need or tow you to where you can get it fixed. saved my ass last year when I blew the motor and was just floating there in the shipping lanes.

I like Boat US. I've been a member for years, have unlimited towing, but have never used it. Came close once testing my ECU mod, but it eventually started. Also like to have it when my wife and son are using the boats in the summer and I'm out of town.

I've always insured my boats with them, rates seem ok to me.

Like the mag they send too.

I'm about to use them for the insurance. If for nothing else, just being insured for a sinking and having the bark humpers bone you for $100k in oil and fuel clean-up is worth the price.

I'm also about to get them. I like the feeling of having a tow if anything was to ever happen! Knock on wood!!

Add the $10 for the towing insurance. I had to use it on a cross country trip last summer and it was great. Saved me a bunch of $$.

hey big red please elaborate if you have any bad dealings with boat us im ins shopping right now and they gave me a decent price i was thinking of going with them but if they are one of those ghost ins companies when you have a problem then ill probably stick with the allstate quote

I recommend BoatUS over the other towing companies because they insure the captain, not just a paticular boat.If you have more than one boat your covered or if you break down in someone's boat your covered.I found my homewners,Allstate was cheaper than BoatUS insurance but would insure a more exspensive boat. I hope this helps-------JB

When I mentioned Towing Insurance that was for their insurance when you are towing your boat over the road. No experience with their actual boat insurance and (knock on wood) I haven't had to use the water towing but I have heard good reports.

Excellent company and can't beat all of the coverage you get for around 50 bucks a year. Pretty common insurance for people using the Great Lakes. Dead batteries, call them up and have them come jump you--anywhere. Run out gas, same. Trailer dumps a bearing, come get me. Need a tow in, sign here instead over $600 plus. I've watched people at the launch freak out when they find out how much it just cost to have their boat towed in. Most boat insurance has coverage, but you pay the tow company then get reimbursed by your insurance company.
