Bought my first Checkmate!

Dave Brinkley

New member
Finally! I've wanted a Checkmate since I was in the 7th grade when I saw a Checkmate a friend of mines Dad owned. I bought a 78 Tri-mate II. I'm going to need a lot of help from you guys. It's got a very rough paint job, but that's OK because I've been been a auto bodyman for about 20 years. I'm going to take a lot of digital pictures before I take it apart. I don't have time to restore now, I'm just going to paint it and make it look good for my family this summer. E-mail me please?

Congrats

Rough isn't she? Need to find some captains seats. I'm going to build front benches. Any info on where to find a good selection of new captain seats?

WOW, I was having flash backs. Looking good so far Dave, I see you found a lifting eye. Shoot me an e-mail. I found a place that can inlay 3 different colors in to some captains chairs. In my case they are going to be doing all the seats.
