bow lift on hole shot

Hello all,
I am curious how to get the bow from lifting so high when getting on plane i see videos on the web of baots that go from an idle to on plane with very minimal bow lift do i need wedges to give me more negative on takeoff or what I am running a 2100br pulsare with a 300x on the back 12 inches of set back and the nose cone is about even with the pad also running a 23 pitch rev 4 prop , but i have tried various hiegths with no real success any help or advice would be greatly appreiated.

Thanks
Ben

To keep the bow down, trim in/under and jack down. This will give you the best bite and drive the bow in the water.

Some of those videos you see are boats with drag props or cleavers. No bow rise, but no lift either and that's what Mates need to run fast. Bow lifting props always give more of a wheelie. Hotbeek's got your answer.

my buddy has a pulsare witha 3L 250 merc. he had alot of bow lift. he just installed a full Simon kit on it. they claim 345 horse with this kit. he is running 10" setback. he also runs a 27P tempest. he has very little bow lift now. i guess adding more power enabled the boat to get on plain quicker with less lift.

he used to be a dog out of the hole before the kit. now he gets up on plane faster than me. :pissed: he starts all the way down and in then raises and trims up from there.

From my own experiance Ive found that the higher the motor is raised the less bow lift. That was with my 17' sportfire, I dont know how the 21' would be. I think its just a checkmate thing because my rallysport has almost no bow lift. I dont have to strain my neck looking over the bow like I did with my mates....Trim tabs and neg trim wedges should help you get on plane faster but I dont know if iot is the solution..You have a fair amount of setback so thats not helping. Sounds like you have a nice rig though have any pics??

boston predictor no pics yet after i did the mods but will have some in august,
illmattic what all did your buddy have done from simon to get 345hp because i am having the block bored new heads new throttle body and the poppet valve done and he is telling me that it should be around 335 just curiuos what else he did to get the 10 extra ponys i will hopefully have some dyno sheets when i get my motor back next week. Hotbeek will try the motor with plate all the way down and see what happens again. What do you all think of transome wedges with angles cut in to give more negative trim will it help or not.

thanks
Ben

P.S. sorry about the double names i started this post from my work computer with different sign in usae name and password but I am also bravo 1

i think he had new heads, fuel plentm, injectors, poppet, tunner, ecm, and maybe more all upgraded. man he dropped some coin on this thing.

Transom wedges would help if you're not able to get it trimmed in/under. I'd be surprised if you could not get it trimmed enough.

I'm running a 2100BR Pulsare with a 225 and some of Simon Motorsports goodies too !

Hot beek i also have a trophy plus that i use and it seemed to do the same thing. Illmattic that is what i had done to mine plus simon bored the cylinders out to make it a 3.1 how does your buddy like his simon motor i have heard nothing but good about his products and work.
